Alt Text Character Limits for Every Social Network
Alt text limits for X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok and Pinterest, quoted from each network's own pages or code, and where none is published.
What each social network allows, read from the network’s own documentation.
Every network has rules of its own: how long a post can be, how far ahead its own scheduler reaches, how many posts can wait in line, what happens to a link, and how much room an image description gets. These posts answer one question at a time, one network at a time.
Each answer goes back to the network. Where a post states a rule, it links the page the rule was read on, quotes the sentence and gives the date that page was checked, with a date for every source instead of one for the whole post. Where the documentation is silent, the post says “not documented” and does not guess.
The rules hold whichever scheduler you use, and none of these posts needs Postnavo to be useful. To check a draft against a network’s length limit, the character counter is free.

On Bluesky, the app that creates a post attaches the link preview. Why yours shows a bare URL or plain text, and how to check each cause, with sources.
How far each network's own scheduler reaches, how many posts can wait and what cannot be scheduled, for ten networks, quoted from their own pages.
Pinterest's own scheduler holds 10 scheduled Pins, each up to 30 days ahead, on business accounts. The sourced limits and what to do past the cap.
Post each new RSS item to Bluesky with a GitHub Actions bot in your own repository, an IFTTT Pro applet or Publer. What each costs and how often it checks.
